CetchApp Terms of Service

1. About CetchApp

CetchApp is a social platform designed to help people discover activities, create plans, invite friends, communicate with other users, join activities and events, and meet in real life.

CetchApp may also provide information about activities, venues, events and organizers obtained from organizers, partners, public sources or other third parties.

Certain features may use artificial intelligence to help users discover activities, create activities, plan events, answer questions, or otherwise interact with the Service.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your CetchApp account.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for taking reasonable steps to keep your login credentials secure.

You may not create an account using another person’s identity without authorization, impersonate another person or organization, or provide deliberately false or misleading account information.

If you believe someone has gained unauthorized access to your account, you should contact CetchApp as soon as possible.

3. Using CetchApp

CetchApp allows users to create, discover, join and interact with activities and events.

Depending on the functionality available, users may be able to:

• create and manage activities;
• invite other users;
• join or leave activities;
• communicate through chats;
• upload images and other content;
• share activity information;
• provide locations or meeting points;
• discover public activities and events;
• interact with organizers;
• use AI-powered planning or discovery functionality.

Features may be changed, added or removed as the Service develops.

4. User Content

“User Content” means information or content that you submit, upload, create or share through CetchApp, including text, messages, activity descriptions, images, profile information and other material.

You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content to CetchApp, you grant CetchApp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display and distribute that content only to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure and improve the Service.

The license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except where continued storage is necessary for legal, security, backup or legitimate operational purposes.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to content you upload or share.

5. Public and Private Activities

Activities on CetchApp may have different visibility settings.

Information associated with a public activity may be visible to other CetchApp users and, where indicated by the Service, potentially to people who are not logged in.

Content associated with private activities is made available according to the permissions and functionality provided within the Service.

You should not publish information that you do not want others to see.

6. Location Information

Certain CetchApp features may use location information to display nearby activities, places, events or other relevant content.

Where required, CetchApp will request permission before accessing location information from your device.

You can manage location permissions through your device settings. Some CetchApp features may not function correctly if location access is disabled.

You should consider carefully before sharing a precise home address or other sensitive location with other users.

7. Chats and Communication

CetchApp may allow users to communicate with each other.

You are responsible for the content you send through CetchApp.

You must not use CetchApp to send threats, harassment, unlawful content, spam, fraudulent messages or other content prohibited under these Terms.

CetchApp may take proportionate measures to investigate reported content, enforce these Terms, protect users and comply with applicable law.

8. Events and Third-Party Information

CetchApp may display information about events, activities, venues, businesses or organizers that originate from third parties or publicly available sources.

We aim to provide useful and accurate information, but third-party information may change or contain errors.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, CetchApp is not the organizer, operator or provider of third-party events displayed through the Service.

Users should verify important information such as event times, availability, age restrictions, prices, ticket requirements and cancellations with the relevant organizer or ticket provider.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

CetchApp may contain links to third-party websites, ticket providers, maps, payment providers, social networks or other external services.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

CetchApp does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, content or independent actions.

10. AI Features

CetchApp may provide features powered by artificial intelligence (“AI Features”).

AI Features may assist with tasks such as discovering activities, creating activities, planning events or answering questions.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate for a particular situation. Users should use their own judgment and verify important information before relying on AI-generated output.

You must not use AI Features for unlawful purposes or to generate content that violates these Terms.

CetchApp may process information submitted to AI Features as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Acceptable Use

You may not use CetchApp to:

• violate applicable laws or regulations;
• threaten, harass, bully or intimidate another person;
• promote violence or illegal activities;
• impersonate another person or organization;
• publish content that unlawfully infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
• distribute malware or malicious code;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to CetchApp systems or other users’ accounts;
• scrape, crawl or systematically extract information from CetchApp without authorization;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
• send spam or conduct fraudulent activity;
• manipulate the Service or its systems;
• use automated systems in a way that places unreasonable load on the Service;
• use the Service in a way that creates a material risk to other users or CetchApp.

12. Safety and Real-World Activities

CetchApp helps users connect and participate in real-world activities, but CetchApp generally does not supervise interactions between users.

You are responsible for deciding whether to meet or participate in activities with other users.

Users should exercise appropriate judgment when meeting people they do not know, sharing personal information, choosing meeting locations and participating in activities.

Except where CetchApp is expressly identified as the organizer, CetchApp is not responsible for organizing, supervising or controlling activities created by users or third parties.

13. Reporting Users and Content

Users may report content, activities or accounts that they believe violate these Terms or applicable law.

CetchApp may investigate reports and take appropriate action, including restricting content, removing content, limiting account functionality, suspending accounts or terminating accounts.

Submitting deliberately false or abusive reports may itself constitute a violation of these Terms.

14. Suspension and Termination

CetchApp may restrict, suspend or terminate access to the Service where reasonably necessary, including where:

• these Terms have been materially or repeatedly violated;
• an account creates a security risk;
• fraudulent or unlawful activity is suspected;
• another user’s safety may be at risk;
• we are required to do so by law or a competent authority.

Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice or an opportunity to appeal a decision.

You may stop using CetchApp at any time and may request deletion of your account through the functionality provided in the Service or by contacting us.

15. Intellectual Property

The CetchApp application, software, trademarks, logos, designs, interfaces and other materials created by or for CetchApp are owned by CetchApp AS or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of CetchApp intellectual property to users.

You may use the Service only as permitted by these Terms.

16. Privacy

Our collection and processing of personal data is governed by the CetchApp Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains, among other things, what information we collect, why we process it, the legal basis for processing, how long information is retained, who information may be shared with, international transfers, and your rights under applicable data protection legislation.

17. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable Service but cannot guarantee that CetchApp will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

We may temporarily restrict access to the Service for maintenance, security, upgrades or other operational reasons.

CetchApp may modify, discontinue or replace features as the Service evolves.

18. Disclaimer

CetchApp provides a platform for discovering, organizing and participating in activities.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, CetchApp does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, availability or accuracy of activities, events, users, organizers or third-party services available through the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CetchApp is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.

CetchApp is not responsible for the independent actions of users, organizers, venues or third-party service providers unless liability arises under applicable law and cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

20. Changes to the Service or Terms

CetchApp may update these Terms as the Service, applicable laws or our business changes.

If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable notice where required by applicable law.

The current version of the Terms will be made available through CetchApp or our website.

Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law.

If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights provided by the laws applicable to you.

Disputes should first be raised with CetchApp so that we can attempt to resolve them.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved may be brought before the competent Norwegian courts, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules concerning jurisdiction.
